Hello, darlings! I hope everyone’s week is going well. I can’t believe it is already the last week of April. Where has the time gone?! I feel like it was just 2 months ago that I was starting my first year as a teacher…and now we are coming to a close! 5 more weeks!! That is crazy.
I just recently got this adorable top from Hello Harper and I just had to share it with you all. How cute is this?! I love the light-weight denim. This top is great because while it has the look of the “off-the-shoulder” top, when you raise your arms your shirt doesn’t get messed up. Is anyone else annoyed by that too? Ha!
When it comes to styling denim on denim, always look at the color of denim! If you top is a medium wash (like this top), be sure to pair it with a darker wash bottom. If you have a dark wash top, a light wash denim on the bottom is perfect. NEVER ever do same color denim on top and bottom. For some reason, some people are doing this and honestly…. you just look like you are going to go paint something. I can’t hop on that bandwagon. Style tip: Mix your denim washes. Please.
This top is slightly cropped, so I would wear this with high-waisted pants. If you were wearing this out on a hot summer day and like to wear crop tops, then regular pants are totally fine (pictured in the post!). I love wearing booties with shorts, too. I think it just looks so much more “cool” than sandals…but that’s just my style!
Wearing your hair up off of your back can look soooo dainty and girly too. I love feminine style, so having my hair up was an absolute must. Especially as the days start getting warmer! Having your hair up off of your back will really showcase your earrings too.
What do you think? Do you love this outfit as much as I do?! I have always been a big fan of warm-toned bags like this tote from Francesca’s. I can pile so much into this bag!!! A must for an over-packer (and over planner….) like me! I love this color with denim too.
Be sure to check out Hello Harper! So so SO many cute styles up all the time.
